Our School
Who We Are:
Meadow’s Edge Elementary School is part of the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, which is recognized as the premier school district in northern Indiana with a reputation for excellence. P-H-M is among Indiana’s top performing public school corporations, ranking in the Top 4% of ILEARN student performance and Penn High School’s graduation rate is 97.3%.
89% of Meadow’s Edge third graders passed IREAD in 2025, up from 75.3% in 2024. This remarkable double-digit gain of 13.7 points is one of the largest in the district.
Meadow’s Edge has also earned the distinction of being ranked Indiana’s #370 for Public Elementary Schools by U.S. News & World Report (Data is based on the 2021–2022, 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 school years) Click here to learn more.
Our compassionate and engaged teachers participate in ongoing professional development, strengthening the Meadow’s Edge community—a true family working together to ensure students feel supported academically and holistically. This spirit of care is reflected in the everyday actions of our staff. For example, since her first year of teaching in 2018, first grade teacher Mrs. Amy Mero has made it an annual tradition to hand-knit a winter hat for every one of her students. Each year, she thoughtfully selects yarn colors and patterns to create one-of-a-kind hats personal gifts that her students can treasure and wear throughout the cold winter months. Click to read more.
P-H-M Schools practice inclusion. In support of this, we came up with a creative new initiative is bringing students together while building vital communication and social skills. General education students are partnering with their peers in Exceptional Education classrooms to support the development of pragmatic language — the everyday communication skills we use to interact with others. We call it the “Woot Woot Wagon!” Click to learn more.
We are a 1:1 Technology district, which means that every student at Meadow’s Edge, as well as every student in the P-H-M school district, has access to their own Chromebook that they use every day in the classroom (kindergartners use iPads).
Meadow’s Edge is a Title I school. Click to read the Parents Right to Know letter.
